Zap to fitness? study tests electric muscle stimulation for sedentary women
NCT ID NCT07246772
Summary
This study tested whether using electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) during exercise could improve strength in young women who are mostly inactive. Twenty-seven women were split into two groups, with one group using EMS during workouts for 8 weeks. Researchers measured changes in arm, leg, and core strength to see if the EMS made a difference compared to regular exercise.
