New hope for schizophrenia? trial tests promising pill

Summary
This study is testing a new oral drug called emraclidine for adults with schizophrenia. The main goals are to see if it is safe, how the body processes it, and if it helps reduce symptoms. About 268 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug or a placebo pill for up to 42 days.
