Summary

This study tests a training program for caregivers of adolescents (ages 10-17) with profound autism. The training teaches caregivers how to use picture-based activity schedules so their child can do tasks independently for short periods. The goal is to give caregivers more time for themselves and improve quality of life for the whole family. The study involves 32 participants and compares the training to usual routines.
