First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study examines skin and soft tissue removed during breast implant reconstruction after mastectomy. Researchers want to see if the physical properties of the skin can help predict complications like implant loss. The study involves 140 women who have had a mastectomy and a tissue expander placed, and who plan to exchange it for a permanent implant within 3 months.
