NCT ID NCT05740735

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether hearing a familiar voice (like a loved one) saying the patient's name triggers a stronger brain response than an unfamiliar voice. Researchers will measure these brain waves in 114 unconscious patients after cardiac arrest, stroke, or head injury. The goal is to see if this emotional sound test can better predict neurological recovery.
