Tapping away the pain: new study tests EFT for IVF heartbreak
NCT ID NCT07477665
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a technique called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) — a mix of tapping on certain body points and talking — can help women who have had unsuccessful IVF treatments feel less tired, hopeless, and stigmatized. About 80 women will take part, with half receiving EFT sessions over 4 weeks and the other half receiving no extra care. Researchers will measure changes in fatigue, hopelessness, and stigma using standard questionnaires.
