Tapping away knee surgery pain? study tests emotional technique
NCT ID NCT05541666
Summary
This study tested whether the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a mind-body practice involving tapping on acupressure points, could help reduce pain and anxiety after total knee replacement surgery. Researchers worked with 80 patients, teaching the technique to one group and comparing their recovery to a group that did not use it. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could make the postoperative period more comfortable.
