Tapping away fear: can a simple technique calm moms before C-Section?
NCT ID NCT07156279
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) — a non-invasive tapping on acupressure points — can reduce surgical fear and improve vital signs in 60 pregnant women scheduled for cesarean delivery. Half will receive EFT before surgery, and the other half will not. Researchers will measure fear scores, heart rate, blood pressure, and newborn Apgar scores to see if EFT makes a difference.

- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a simple, non-drug way to reduce fear and stabilize vital signs during cesarean delivery.
