Summary
This study is testing a new outpatient therapy for children ages 7-12 who have self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs). The therapy focuses on improving emotion regulation and executive functioning skills. Researchers will compare the new therapy to standard treatment to see if it is more effective at engaging families and reducing symptoms. The study involves 52 children and their families, with assessments before, during, and after treatment.
