Summary

This study tested a short program to help children aged 8 to 14 from single-parent, low-income, or left-behind families in Shenzhen improve their emotional regulation skills. 183 children took part in four group sessions plus a booster session, learning about emotions, positivity, and building better relationships. The goal was to see if the program could boost happiness, reduce anxiety and depression, and strengthen family bonds.
