Do common nerve tests cause dangerous bruising in patients on blood thinners?
NCT ID NCT07166302
Summary
This study aims to find out if a common diagnostic test called needle EMG is safe for patients taking newer blood thinners (DOACs). Researchers will use ultrasound to check for muscle bruising in 70 patients shortly after they have the test. The goal is to provide clearer safety guidance for doctors and patients.
