Summary
This study tests whether emetine, an old drug, can help adults with dengue fever avoid severe illness or death. About 600 hospitalized patients aged 18-65 will take either a low or high dose of emetine or a placebo pill for 7 days. Researchers will monitor their symptoms and blood for 28 days to see if the drug improves recovery and reduces complications.
