Eye test could spot stroke in dizzy patients

NCT ID NCT02483429

Summary

This study tested whether a portable eye-tracking device could help emergency room doctors quickly and accurately diagnose the cause of dizziness or vertigo. Researchers compared the device-guided approach to standard emergency care in 130 patients to see if it could better distinguish between harmless inner ear problems and serious conditions like strokes. The goal was to improve early diagnosis and reduce unnecessary tests while ensuring dangerous conditions aren't missed.
