Life-Saving tourniquet tested for mothers with unstoppable bleeding

Summary
This study is testing a special abdominal tourniquet device as an emergency treatment for severe, life-threatening bleeding after childbirth when standard medications and treatments have failed. The device is applied to the upper abdomen and inflated to temporarily reduce blood flow to the pelvis, aiming to control bleeding and buy critical time for surgery and blood transfusions. The research is being conducted in Ukraine with 20 participants who experience this dangerous complication.
