Could a common painkiller make the Morning-After pill more effective?

NCT ID NCT07449299

Summary

This study is testing whether adding the pain reliever piroxicam to the standard emergency contraception pill (levonorgestrel) makes it work better at preventing pregnancy. It will enroll about 1,458 people in the U.S. who need emergency contraception after unprotected sex. Researchers want to see if the new combination is more effective, especially for people who weigh more or take the pill later in their cycle.
