Skip the ER? study tests bringing emergency care to your doorstep
NCT ID NCT06299774
Summary
This study tested whether providing emergency medical care at home is a safe and effective alternative to a traditional emergency room visit. Researchers compared outcomes for 229 adults who were randomly assigned to receive care either at home or in the hospital ER. The main goal was to see if home-based emergency care could reduce the need for follow-up ER visits or hospital stays in the days after treatment.
