NCT ID NCT06029244
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested if a special eye-controlled communication device (EyeControl-Pro) could reduce delirium in older adults (age 50+) who are on breathing machines in the ICU. Delirium is a state of confusion that often happens in the hospital. The study involved 160 patients and compared those who used the active device to those who used a sham version. The goal was to see if the device helped patients communicate better and have fewer or less severe episodes of delirium.
