First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether using the EyeControl-Pro, a device that lets patients communicate by moving their eyes, could reduce delirium in older adults on breathing machines in the ICU. The trial involved 160 patients aged 50 and older. Researchers compared those using the active device to those using a sham version to see if it lowered the rate and severity of delirium.
