Summary

This study tested if analyzing the fluid embryos grow in, using a technique called nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), can quickly and cheaply identify which embryos have the right number of chromosomes. The goal is to improve success rates in assisted reproduction (IVF) by making embryo selection faster and less expensive than current genetic tests. The study involved 30 people undergoing IVF and compared the fluid from healthy and abnormal embryos.
