Summary
This study tested a drug called elobixibat in 47 adults with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) or its more serious form, NASH. The goal was to see if the drug could lower bad cholesterol (LDL-C) compared to a placebo over 16 weeks. The trial also checked for side effects. This is an early-phase study to explore whether elobixibat might help manage the disease.
