New imaging technique reveals immune cell activity after radiation

NCT ID NCT05371132

First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests a new PET scan that tracks immune cells called CD8+ T cells, which help fight cancer. Ten adults with lymphoma or metastatic solid tumors will get the scan before and after radiation therapy. The goal is to see if radiation brings more immune cells to tumors, not to treat the cancer directly.
