Summary

This early study tested a new device that detects light signals during breast cancer surgery to help surgeons know if they are cutting through cancer or healthy tissue. 24 women with invasive breast cancer took part. The main goal was to check safety and see if the device works well. Results will help design future studies to improve cancer removal.
