NCT ID NCT06713200
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a treatment called percutaneous electrolysis can help people with calf muscle tears feel better and move easier. About 75 adults with a torn medial gastrocnemius muscle received either a real or fake version of the treatment. Researchers measured pain, fear of movement, ankle flexibility, and muscle fatigue to see if the needle therapy made a difference.
