First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether electroacupuncture, a modern version of an ancient Chinese practice, can reduce heart damage and inflammation in people having coronary artery bypass surgery. 104 adults aged 18-65 with moderate surgical risk participated. Researchers measured heart injury markers and inflammation levels to see if adding electroacupuncture to standard care made a difference.
