First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding electroacupuncture at a specific point (Zusanli, ST-36) to standard diabetes care can improve healing of foot ulcers in people with diabetes. About 76 adults with moderate ulcers (Wagner grade 1-3) will either get standard treatment alone or standard treatment plus daily electroacupuncture for four weeks. Researchers will measure wound healing and blood flow to see if the acupuncture helps.
