Acupuncture needles vs. chemo brain: new trial tests a surprising fix
NCT ID NCT07583979
First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether 10 sessions of electroacupuncture (a type of acupuncture with mild electric pulses) can improve memory, focus, and thinking problems that many cancer survivors face after treatment. About 168 survivors will be randomly assigned to receive real electroacupuncture, a sham (fake) version, or no treatment. Researchers will compare changes in thinking tests and quality of life to see if this drug-free approach really works.
