Zap to the back: early electrical stimulation tested for spinal injury

NCT ID NCT07090473

Summary

This study aims to see if a non-invasive electrical stimulation treatment, delivered through the skin over the spine, is safe to start just 3 days after a traumatic spinal cord injury. It will involve 15 patients in the ICU to check for safety issues and gather early signs on whether the stimulation might help improve movement and sensation. The research is an early step to see if this approach could become a new part of early care for spinal injuries.
