Zap the pain: new device trial offers hope for Women's chronic pelvic pain

NCT ID NCT05354869

Summary

This study is testing whether a special electrical stimulation device, used vaginally, can reduce chronic pelvic pain caused by tight muscles. It will compare the device's effects to standard care like education and stretching. The research also aims to see if nurses can deliver this treatment as effectively as specialist doctors. About 60 women with long-term pelvic pain will participate and be followed for 3 months.
