Zapping away stiffness: new study tests electrical therapy for arm spasticity
NCT ID NCT07321158
Summary
This study aims to find the best settings for a therapy that uses mild electrical pulses to relax stiff, tight arm muscles (spasticity) caused by nerve damage. It will compare a 'high pulse' setting to a 'low pulse' setting in 45 patients, measuring changes in muscle stiffness, arm movement, and daily life activities. The goal is to create a more standard and effective treatment plan for this common and challenging symptom.
