Scientists hunt for the hidden cause of elbow pain

NCT ID NCT07259382

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people develop long-lasting pain and disability after an elbow fracture, even when the bone heals correctly. Researchers will enroll 60 adults with recent elbow fractures to measure specific inflammation markers in their blood and see how these relate to their pain levels, function, and medication use over time. The goal is to gather information to design better future studies and find new ways to manage pain without relying heavily on opioids.
