New device tested to break up deadly lung clots

Summary
This study aims to collect real-world data on how well the EKOS device works for patients in China with acute, dangerous blood clots in the lungs. It will observe up to 30 patients who are already scheduled to receive the EKOS treatment as part of their standard care. The main goal is to see if the device safely reduces strain on the heart caused by the clot.
