New imaging technique could help save lives on ventilators
NCT ID NCT06990477
Summary
This study is testing whether using a special bedside imaging tool called EIT to personalize ventilator settings can improve survival for patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Researchers will compare this personalized approach against standard ventilator setting methods in 264 patients with moderate-to-severe ARDS. The main goal is to see if the personalized approach reduces deaths within 28 days.
