First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a special imaging tool (EIT) to set the breathing machine's pressure (PEEP) can help people with severe lung injury (ARDS) who are likely to benefit from it. The trial will compare this method to the standard approach in 264 adults. The main goal is to see if it lowers the chance of death within 28 days.
