First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests a non-invasive breathing therapy (oscillation and lung expansion guided by electrical impedance tomography) in 80 adults with severe blunt chest trauma who are on a breathing machine. The goal is to see if it improves lung function, shortens time on the ventilator, and reduces complications like pneumonia. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive this therapy or standard care.
