Summary

This study looked at how smoking versus overnight abstinence changes the way adult smokers make decisions requiring effort and how they handle distress. Five participants completed behavioral tasks and brain scans. The goal was to understand the effects of smoking state on motivation and tolerance, not to provide treatment.
