Shoulder block study probes Tingling's link to Post-Op symptoms

NCT ID NCT06906458

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at 120 adults having shoulder surgery to see if feeling a tingling or electric shock during a nerve block (called paresthesia) leads to numbness, weakness, or pain afterward. Researchers noted when paresthesia happened and then called patients after the block wore off to check for any nerve symptoms. The goal is to understand if these sensations during the procedure are linked to longer-term nerve issues.
