Scientists search for Brain's 'Error Signal' in anorexia using simple cap

NCT ID NCT04583774

Summary

This study aims to develop a simpler, cheaper method to study the brain in anorexia nervosa. Researchers are testing if a brainwave recording (EEG) can detect the same brain signals as a complex MRI scan when teens receive unexpected rewards. The goal is to create a practical research tool to better understand the biology of this serious eating disorder in future, larger studies.
