NCT ID NCT04832568

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether monitoring brain waves (EEG) during heart surgery can help predict and understand postoperative delirium, a common complication causing confusion. Researchers will follow 200 adults undergoing cardiovascular surgery, using EEG to track brain activity and check for signs of delirium afterward. The goal is to find early warning signs to improve care and recovery.
