NCT ID NCT07324941

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a brain wave test (EEG) can help doctors decide when it's safe to stop caffeine therapy in premature infants. About 100 babies born early will have an EEG when their caffeine is planned to stop, and doctors will watch for any return of breathing pauses. The goal is to find a reliable way to prevent apnea from coming back after treatment ends.
