Summary
This study tested if a special pre-surgery education class could help people recover better after colon cancer surgery. 88 patients were randomly assigned to either get the new class or the usual pre-surgery instructions. The class explained what to expect before and after surgery, with the goal of reducing discomfort and helping patients get back on their feet sooner.
