Emergency rooms become frontline in fight to stop HIV
NCT ID NCT05588193
Summary
This study is testing two different strategies to help more people start taking medication that prevents HIV. It focuses on patients visiting emergency rooms for sexual health concerns in communities heavily affected by HIV. One strategy offers a telehealth visit with a sexual health provider right in the ER, while the other provides follow-up outreach by a health navigator after the ER visit.
