Text messages aim to turn ER trips into health Wake-Up calls
NCT ID NCT06889792
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple program can help people visiting the emergency room start living healthier to prevent future chronic diseases. Over 1,100 participants will receive brief health advice and then get weekly text or app messages with reminders and short videos about habits like eating better or exercising more. Researchers will check if people who get these extra messages adopt more healthy habits after 6 and 12 months compared to those who just get general advice.
