Summary
This study looks at whether electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) or antidepressant medication is more cost-effective for treating severe major depression. Researchers will follow 220 adults in the Netherlands who have not gotten better with at least one antidepressant. The goal is to compare treatment success, side effects, quality of life, and overall costs.
