Race against time: bringing Hospital-Level heart rescue to the scene

NCT ID NCT07374289

Summary

This study is testing whether starting a special advanced life support machine (called ECMO) right at the scene of a cardiac arrest, instead of waiting until the patient reaches the hospital, leads to better survival and brain recovery. It will compare two groups of patients: one that gets the treatment on-scene by a mobile medical team, and another that receives it after arriving at the hospital. The main goal is to see if starting treatment faster saves more lives and preserves brain function.
