Tiny implant offers hope for bladder control

NCT ID NCT03556891

Summary

This study tested a small, coin-sized device called eCoin that is implanted under the skin near the ankle. It sends gentle electrical pulses to a nerve to help control overactive bladder symptoms like sudden urges and accidental leakage. The trial followed 133 adults for up to 5 years to see if the device was safe and effective for people who hadn't found relief from standard medications or other therapies.
