Doctors look back: how has life support for critically ill children changed?

NCT ID NCT04709432

Summary

This study aims to look back and summarize the use of ECMO, a form of life support, for children in China over the past decade. Researchers will collect information from hospitals about 500 children who received this treatment to understand survival rates, treatment duration, and costs. The goal is to gather knowledge about how this critical care has been used and developed, not to test a new treatment.
