Daily checklist could shorten time on life support

NCT ID NCT05486559

Summary

This study is testing if a daily checklist helps doctors decide when patients can safely stop using a life-support machine called ECMO. Researchers will compare this daily protocol to usual care in 225 adults on ECMO across multiple hospitals. The goal is to see if the checklist helps patients come off the machine sooner, which could reduce risks, improve recovery, and lower costs.
