Paris rescue team tracks 20-Year survival after High-Tech heart restart

NCT ID NCT06397417

Summary

This study aims to measure how well a specialized Paris emergency team's advanced resuscitation technique works in real life. It will follow 840 adults who suffered a cardiac arrest outside the hospital and did not respond to standard CPR, receiving instead a machine called ECMO that temporarily takes over heart and lung function. Researchers will track survival rates, quality of life, and recovery over one year to understand the long-term outcomes and effectiveness of this high-intensity rescue approach.
