Summary

This study tested two different ways to connect a kidney support machine (CRRT) to a heart/lung life support machine (ECMO) in critically ill patients. It involved 80 adults with sudden kidney failure who needed both machines. The main goal was to see which connection method kept the kidney filter working longer without problems.
