Blood test could warn of Life-Threatening bleeding in ICU
NCT ID NCT07039513
Summary
This study aims to find out if a simple blood test can predict dangerous bleeding in critically ill patients on ECMO life support. Researchers will track 100 patients in intensive care to see if changes in a blood marker called D-dimer can signal a high risk of bleeding within 24 hours. The goal is to help doctors better monitor and manage this serious risk.
