Researchers dig into old biopsies to uncover virus link in cancer

NCT ID NCT06444152

Summary

This study aims to understand how common Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is in lymphoma patients in Botswana, comparing those with and without HIV. Researchers will analyze 100 archived lymph node biopsy samples collected between 2012 and 2017. The goal is to gather knowledge about the virus's role in these cancers, not to provide treatment.
